Mitsubishi | Uni-star | 2B

The uni Star (ユニスター) is Mitsubishi Pencil Co.'s affordable everyday wood-cased graphite pencil, introduced in 1975 and sold in seven grades from 2H to 4B (order codes US2H–US4B). Made in Japan with a hexagonal barrel and a wine-red/ebicha lacquer finish with gold lettering, it uses a graphite-and-clay lead that writes dark and cleanly, and sits below the higher-grade uni and Hi-Uni lines while offering a comparable smooth writing feel. Mitsubishi positions it as a general-purpose writing pencil for everyone from students to professionals.
