Pelikan's Graphite Pencil is a hexagonal, wood-cased pencil in the brand's classic dark-blue lacquer with silver lines, made from FSC-certified wood (species not stated) and fitted with a break-resistant lead. The German manufacturer (founded 1832) sells the line in four hardness grades - F, HB, B and 2B - as everyday writing pencils "for all needs". The standard pencil (e.g. article 978841) has a plain end, while an eraser-tipped HB version (HBE) is also offered.
