Maped's Black'Peps is the French manufacturer's everyday graphite pencil, recognisable by its ergonomic triangular barrel (orange edges, grey body) that resists rolling and guides a comfortable grip. The break-resistant 2.2 mm graphite core comes in five grades — 2H, H, HB, B and 2B — set in an FSC-certified lime-wood casing that sharpens cleanly; the HB (#2) school version is also sold eraser-tipped. It is primarily a school and general-writing pencil, with the graded 2H-2B range equally suited to everyday sketching.
