The Koh-I-Noor 1500 is the company's flagship professional graphite pencil, recognisable by its yellow hexagonal casing made from California cedar. It is currently produced in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, and offered in a full range of 20 hardness grades from 8B (softest) through to 10H (hardest), intended for technicians, graphic designers and artists across technical drafting and artistic drawing. According to Koh-I-Noor's own company history, the yellow 1500 won a Grand Prix in Paris in 1900.
