The uni Mitsubishi 9000 is a Japanese hexagonal wood-cased pencil that Mitsubishi Pencil Co. classifies as an office/general-writing pencil and lists as one of its long-standing representative products (one cited retailer dates the green-and-gold design to 1950). It is sold in seven graphite grades — 2H, H, HB, B, 2B, 3B and 4B — and is valued for a dark, smooth line. The standard pencil has no eraser; Mitsubishi offers eraser-tipped variants (models 9850/9852) separately.
This specimen: 9000 in grade 3B.
