Derwent Sketching is a current range of round, wood-cased graphite pencils from the English maker Derwent (Cumberland Pencil Company). It is sold in just three grades, HB, 2B and 4B, each built around a wide graphite strip set in a broad California cedar barrel, so a loose sketch can be roughed out quickly and then sharpened to a fine point for detail. The pencils are intended for loose, freestyle sketching and drawing.
