Apsara | Platinum | Extra Dark

The Apsara Platinum Extra Dark is a hexagonal, soft-wood writing pencil made in India by Hindustan Pencils, sold in a single "Extra Dark" grade (the manufacturer assigns no numeric grade, though reviewers and retailers liken its darkness to roughly a 2B). Its extra-dark bonded lead lays down smooth, dark lines with minimal pressure and is marketed by Apsara for everyday writing and good handwriting, with soft wood that sharpens easily. It is offered both as a plain pencil and in a rubber-tipped (ferruled/eraser) version.
