Blackwing | Blackwing 602 | Firm

The Blackwing 602 is the firm-graphite member of the modern Blackwing core range, reviving the legendary Eberhard Faber pencil (produced 1934-1998) that California Cedar Products' Palomino division reintroduced in 2011. Its dark, smooth core carries the original's slogan "Half the Pressure, Twice the Speed," aiming for the softness of a much softer lead with a slower rate of wear, and is capped by Blackwing's signature flat square ferrule holding a replaceable pink eraser. Made in Japan from California incense cedar, it suits both writing and drawing and was historically favoured by authors and animators alike.
